The Champions League returns this week and match day one has thrown up some mouth-watering fixtures.

The Home Banker
Qarabag make a bit of history this week as they become the first Azerbaijan team to play in the group stages of the Champions League. However, the bookies do not fancy their chances of an upset at Stamford Bridge, where Chelsea look nailed on to collect three points on matchday one. The Blues have recovered well since losing at home to Burnley on the opening day of the Premier League season, posting solid wins over Tottenham, Everton and Leicester City. They are a 10/11 chance to win the match by more than two goals and with Alvaro Morata up front and in form, they can be trusted to do just that.
The Tasty Treble
Manchester City start as favourites to beat Feyenoord on Wednesday but might not have things all their own way against a side who have won their first four in the Eredivisie. Steven Berghuis has scored four in four matches for the Rotterdam outfit, who will look to have a go at Pep Guardiola’s men. Both teams to score is a 3/4 chance with bet365 and looks tasty while PSG also look good things to win in Glasgow against Celtic. It’s PSG’s first outing in the competition since their infamous last 16 collapse in Barcelona last season, where they somehow failed to defend a 4-0 first leg advantage. However they’ve since bought in Neymar and Kylian Mbappe and should be too powerful for the SPL champions. Add in Napoli to see off Shakhtar Donetsk and you have a treble paying better than 7/2.
The Euro Wager
There will be no bigger game this week than Barcelona against Juventus at the Nou Camp. These two giants of European football have made perfect starts to their respective domestic campaigns but home advantage could swing this in Barca’s favour.
The Wildcard Tip
There doesn’t look to be much between Liverpool and Sevilla, who go head to head at Anfield on Wednesday. A draw would not be a complete surprise and the game should also feature a few goals.
The Bookie Basher
Tottenham will look to hit the ground running by claiming all three points from Borussia Dortmund on Wednesday and Spurs look a tempter at 9/1 to win the game after conceding first. Dortmund are top of the Bundesliga and definitely won’t come to try and eke out a 0-0 draw.
