Jeremy Lin signed a three-year, $36 million deal with the Nets this past summer but his first season in Brooklyn is marred by injuries. He has only played a total of 29 games this season but the Nets have played better since he returned after the All-Star game.

On the other hand, Brook Lopez has carried the Nets when Jeremy Lin was injured but now that they are together, the team is playing well. The two players are using the pick and roll effectively and it has resulted in the team’s success this month.

The Nets are currently 7-9 in March, which is not really a good record but it can be considered a success for a team with an overall record of 16-58. They have played great with Jeremy Lin at the point guard spot and he executes the pick and roll with Brook Lopez.

According to Jeff Siegel of FanSided, Jeremy Lin has had a lot of impact on the Nets and he does not only make Brook Lopez better. He also makes other teammates better with his penetration, something that was missing for most the season.

“Lin’s offensive game has been a welcome addition to an abjectly awful Nets team this season. Even if the numbers don’t bear it out in the small sample of his minutes, the eye test shows a team that has a plan and executes pretty well when Lin is out there,” Siegel pointed out.

Jeremy Lin has only played in 29 games but he is averaging 13.8 points, 3.2 rebounds, 5.0 assists and 1.1 steals. The Nets might have had a better record if Lin was fully healthy. Nevertheless, they are going to finish the season very strong.

The Nets have eight games remaining and they are looking to win at least four of them to reach 20 wins. Some of the teams Jeremy Lin and the Nets have to beat include the Detroit Pistons, Orlando Magic, Atlanta Hawks, Philadelphia 76ers, Chicago Bulls and Boston Celtics, per
